Antifragile Book Club
The writings of Nassim Taleb are critical to truly understanding Strong Towns. That being said, the writings of Nassim Taleb are not always easy to understand. He was very intentional about not allowing an editor and he assembles his books in a way that precludes skimming. It's painfully obvious when someone professes to have read one of his books but hasn't, a kind of brown M&M test he has somewhat brilliantly concocted.
So, as a service to our members and audience, we are starting a Strong Towns book club and the first book we're going to cover is Taleb's Antifragile. Each month, we'll go through one chapter of the book. I'll write a post on the Strong Towns implications of that chapter. Then we'll set up a time to have a nice long Slack chat about it. The book club Slack chat is an opportunity available exclusively to our members.
If you haven't already, get yourself a copy of Antifragile by Nassim Taleb. Then, make sure that your Strong Towns membership is up to date (come on -- it's only $25 per year to support this movement and it's even tax deductible). Then sign up below to let me know you want to be part of the book club, and we'll send you an invitation to the Slack Chat.
Sign ups now closed.
