Countdown to the Gathering
I love this quote from Nate Hood in a posting he did on Streets.MN:
Don’t expect to be sitting in a room watching PowerPoint presentations. You are the program. The neighborhood is the classroom.
In a little more than a week, a large collection of my best friends will assemble in Minneapolis to reflect, discuss and then plan the future of this movement. I could not be more excited. Jim has done an amazing job pulling this all together. We have a solid agenda of things to do highlighted by some innovative people to share their thoughts and insights with us. We’re going to unveil some brand new stuff and make some important announcements on top of it.
And when we’re done, all of us together are going to shape the agenda for this organization. And what you can do to be part of it. We’re going to take that next step in building a nation of Strong Towns.
We’re getting to the final hours, but if you would like to take part, we can still handle a few more registrations to both the National Gathering and, slightly more limited, to the Friday morning workshop.
I know Jim has roped me into making some trips to the airport so, if it works out, I might even be your taxi driver. Wouldn’t that be fun.
See you all soon. Can’t wait.
