Today: The NextGen Debate Livestream
Strong Towns is currently in Detroit at the 24th Congress for the New Urbanism. We're hosting several events as part of CNU (you can find information about all of them here), most of which are open to the public. Location: Detroit Opera House Lobby
In addition to our podcast interviews throughout the day, we'll also host an open "Ask Me Anything" podcast recording where Chuck Marohn and Michelle Erfurt (Strong Towns Pathfinder) will answer your questions (on any topic). All are welcome!
THE ANNUAL NEXTGEN DEBATE (Live-streamed)
Time: 8:30-10:00pm
Location: Detroit Beer Co (1529 Broadway)
Strong Towns has had the privilege of hosting this event for several years in a row. This year, debaters will tackle two pressing, contentious topics: gentrification and autonomous cars. It promises to be a fun, interactive evening with judges John Anderson, Hazel Borys and Howard Blackson. Audience votes will determine the winner. This year's debaters include Ronak Gandhi, Kristin Jeffers, Alexander Dukes, Eric Kronberg, Ian Ross, Seth Zeren and Johnny Sanphillippo. This event is free and open to the public.
We will live-stream this debate on our website so tune in on this page tonight at 8:30 ET to view it.
