We're rereleasing a classic Strong Towns video today—it just never gets old. The quality is a little shaky (these were the early days of Strong Towns when our budget was even smaller than it currently is), but the point is clear: While roundabouts are a wise design choice, the money spent on this one (and countless others) is astronomical and unnecessary. In addition to a road, it offers decorative brick, fancy landscaping and of course, sidewalks to nowhere.

It's another example of the #OrderlybutDumb nature of most transportation planning.
