A Great New Resource for Creating Strong, Livable Cities
If you’ve been following Strong Towns closely for a while, chances are good you’ve heard of Jim Hodapp. Jim is a longtime Strong Towns member and the cofounder of Strong Indy. He has written for us and, last summer, he appeared as a guest on a Celebrity Edition of the Ask Strong Towns webcast. In other words, Jim is a kindred spirit, and a key ally in the work of building stronger and more financially resilient and cities.
So you can imagine our excitement when we learned that Jim was launching a podcast. It’s called Livable City, and it’s now firmly embedded in our podcast rotation. Early episodes include interviews with transportation and mobility experts, neighborhood advocates, and, most recently, our own Jacob Moses.
Jacob is Community Builder at Strong Towns. In this episode, Jim and Jacob talk about Jacob’s personal journey toward becoming an advocate for strong, livable cities, about what it means to live “on the neighborhood level,” and much more. Check out this episode and then make sure to subscribe.

Katy Clagett is a commercial real estate appraiser and activist. She joins the podcast today to talk about the ways that bottom-up projects can build community, as well as her experiences with spearheading this kind of project.
