Meet the Newest Members of the Strong Towns Team
It was just over a year ago that I came on board as Content Manager at Strong Towns. What I didn’t know then—though I had a hunch—was that my favorite thing about working for an organization I’d followed from the outside for years, would be the chance to collaborate with talented, conscientious, and interesting colleagues.
Well, that trend continues as we recently welcomed two new additions to the Strong Towns staff: Linda Twillman and Christa Theilen.
Linda Twillman is the new Bookkeeper for Strong Towns. After a long career in corporate accounting and finance, Linda is looking forward to applying her skills and experience in the nonprofit sector. Originally from Maryland, she moved to Charleston, South Carolina over 20 years ago, and now lives just a block away from the beach on Edisto Island. Linda enjoys good books, good food, and the company of good friends.
Oh, and we learned something new about Linda when she sent us this photo of her skydiving.
Christa Theilen is the new Office Assistant for Strong Towns. A former teacher who recently moved back to her hometown after nearly 20 years, Christa taught English as a second or other language (TESOL) at Portland State and Arizona State. She was also the English instructor (to non-native English speaking players) for the Portland Timbers. Christa also worked for four years as the fulfillment warehouse floor manager for Don’t Forget To Be Awesome records in Missoula, Montana. Christa told me she’s happy to be a member of the Strong Towns team, where supporting her teammates and crossing things off her to-do list give her great satisfaction.
We’re enormously fortunate to have Christa and Linda as part of the Strong Towns team.
