Summer Internship Opportunity with Strong Towns and Urban3
Are you a data geek? Do you enjoy creating stories and visuals to simplify complex concepts?
Strong Towns and our long-time partners at Urban3 (a data analytics firm) are hiring for a joint summer intern who will serve as a translator and liaison between these organizations, uniting our goals to produce content that speaks to a broad audience about issues of land use, transportation, and economics.
This is a fully remote position with a $7,000 stipend for the ten-week internship (running roughly from June 1–August 6).
We’ve had the chance to facilitate this internship a few times in previous summers and it’s been a wonderful experience for the intern to immerse in data analysis and translation, with a focus on building more financially resilient communities. It’s also a meaningful opportunity to build up a writing portfolio on a platform with broad national reach. Take a look at the work of previous interns here and here.
We learn so much from the unique perspectives our interns bring and we’re excited to get to work with someone new this summer. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer with research experience and a visual mind who can also think quantitatively.
If that sounds like you, please apply by April 23. The application and full job posting can found here. And if that sounds like someone you know, please share this with them!
