Individual actions of city leaders aren’t always enough for institutional change. The City Partnership Program provides a practical path for cities ready to lead.

These core benefits invite every City Partner into the Strong Towns network and ensure access to shared learning and visibility opportunities.
A designated group of employees (planners, engineers, elected officials, etc.) receive access to Strong Towns toolkits, training sessions, news, tips, and other resources otherwise available only to Strong Towns members.
A designated group of employees receive access to Local Motive, the Strong Towns Academy, and other online events, along with early access and discounted registration to all ticketed Strong Towns events, including the National Gathering, Civic Leaders Summit, and the Strong Towns Accelerator.
Public recognition on the Strong Towns website and in selected communications.
Participation in online peer forums and member coaching events for collaboration and shared learning.
Regular partner updates with case studies, implementation examples, and new tools.
The City Partnership Program is the easiest way for your city and staff to become part of the Strong Towns movement. Like individual membership, it’s a way to say:
“This work matters, and we want to help make it stronger."
Through a two-way relationship with the Strong Towns team, your staff gains support, resources, and a direct connection to the movement, while your experience helps us improve the tools, guidance, and resources we provide to communities everywhere.

Find the tier that works best for your place.
